PSU Attendance...
Re: PSU Attendance...
Huh? The B10 isn't doing Penn State any favors, Konjo The teams aren't great adds for football. One is a great add for hoops. Both are good adds for wrestling. Everything cycles for football... 6-10 years ago Maryland was terrific. 1-5 years ago Rutgers was chopping wood and pretty good. Teams like K State and A&M are doing well this year. Missouri and Oklahoma St were very good in the last two years. USC was unbeatable. Now they are back to earth. Adding money schools and markets is a good thing. The money eventually turns into facilities, coaches, etc and makes teams more attractive.

Re: PSU Attendance...
If the Big 10 wanted to get rid of Penn State they would of already. They aren't stupid and know that a winning penn state means $$$ for big 10.
Re: PSU Attendance...
Konjo I would wager my truck that your reasoning has nothing to do with why these two teams were added.

The teams were added for the tv market they bring to the big 10 no other reason. Period. The big 10 couldn't care less if either team ever wins a game.

Re: PSU Attendance...
I think I read on a previous post that debated 4 super conf. v. 5 super conf. I think it will be four as four is easier to bracket for a playoff and national championship. I think the die is cast and geography works against the ACC in this case and they will be the odd conf. out. If I were a PITT fan I would be very nervous about where the dominos fall. The B1G will add two more teams. Look for VA, GA tech, or UNC. Also I see a scenario where Notre Dame had better join a conference in all sports or be left out of competing for a natl championship

Wouldn't the Big 10 be interested in UCONN? Obviously all they care about is TV markets and they would get the Boston/New England states market.

Does Pitt have a chance of ever competing for a National Championship?southpaw wrote:I think I read on a previous post that debated 4 super conf. v. 5 super conf. It never helped the Big East football. The Northeast doesn't care about Big 10 football. Heck check these graphs -S Cube wrote:Wouldn't the Big 10 be interested in UCONN? Obviously all they care about is TV markets and they would get the Boston/New England states market.

they don't even have anyone who even plays football, let alone watches it.
