Let's be clear here...

NO SCHOOL IN THE HISTORY OF THE NCAA HAS ACTIVELY PARTICPIATED IN THE CRIMINAL ISSUES AND OBVIOUS COVERUP THAT HAS OCCURRED AT PSU. Nobody. Nowhere.

We are not talking about bar fights or cash for bowl memoribilia or boosters slipping an Escalade or some $$$ to a recruit or their parent here.

We are talking repeated child molestation that was knowingly covered up and even facilitated by PSU for allowing Sandusky unabated access to facilities, team travel entourages, etc. Everyone to the janitors to assistant coaches to to the AD to the College president to local law enforcement to Joe Paterno himself to likely even the PA AG knew about this. Not just for a few weeks or months, but for NEARLY TWO DECADES THAT WE KNOW OF (probably longer, unless you believe naively believe that Jer's transgressions just started in the mid-1990s). Yet children were sacrificed and allowed to suffer.

Sweeping Sandusky's pedophilia under the rug was quite an orchestrated, calculated effort by PSU and local authorities. Do you think it would have hurt recruiting had Sandusky been outed in 1998? 2001? Do you think having their 2nd in command being outed as a pedophile would have hurt merchandise sales? Joe's reputation? The university's reputation? Sure it would have, but only temporarily. Instead, the greed, ego, and obsession with maintaining a false image of elitism among the college football world reigned supreme. Paterno and his cronies gambled by going to great lengths to conceal this dark secret, and they finally lost in November, 2012.

One cannot help but wonder if PSU would hide this, what's to say they wouldn't fudge soem graduation rates, inappropriate payements to players, fix grades of players, etc.???????

Clearly, Paterno and Company wanted the PSU football money machine to keep printing when they knew about 1998 and 2001! Like Al Davis, their theme was "Just Win and Make $$$ Baby!" To he** with a handful of needy kids and Uncle Jer!!! How dare they stand in the way of Success with Honor, the Grand Experiment, and the Penn State Way????? How dare those kids and Uncle Jer??? How dare them! How dare they be allowed to taint the Paterno legacy, the Godfather's, impeccible reputation????? Be d***** Jer, and those kids!

Their effort to conceal Sandusky's transgressions were a clear lack of institutional control and a clear attempt to gain a competitive and financial advantage by PSU.

Yet, you Nit Cultists are still looking for loopholes and technicalities to clear JVP's name.

Some sick cultists are still angry at the victims themselves and blame them for the downfall of JVP.

Lest you Nitters forget: PSU DID NOTHING TO STOP JER FROM CONTINUING TO PREY ON YOUNG BOYS. If it were up to Paterno, Curley, Shultz, and Spanier, Jer would still be running wild at PSU in the locker rooms and showers, taking bowl trips with the team, bringing victims to PSU games and practices, etc.

ONLY THE FOLKS AT CENTRAL MOUNTAIN STOPPED JER, NOT PSU. Even CM authorities were reluctant to do this. This is a stain that will remain with PSU and Paterno forever. It will never be washed away. Not in our lifetime. Never.

Take heart cultists: PSU's two National Championships were won with a pedophile as 2nd in command. One was won as a direct result of Ref Guman's cheating, the other as a result of a brilliant defensive gameplan concocted by a flaming pedophile.Think about that.

You did it! You finally changed my mind on everything! Your repeated spew of hatred for Penn State has converted me to feel the way you do!

No.

I see you now steaming and staring at your computer like a villain in a comic book saying- Noooooooo! This isn't right! Nooooooooo! This was supposed to be the fall of the Evil Empire! No no no no no, this can't be happening.

It was and still is Success with Honor! The Grand Experiment did work and still works today! The football players at Penn State graduate. In 2011, Penn State finished 1st in the Academic BCS. I'm sorry, but evil was at Penn State and as an active member of the cult I will never believe that Coach Paterno was an active participant in covering this up. Unless Sue comes out and says Joe was an evil monster I just won't buy it. You can believe he was a horrible person. I don't and won't.

The problem with Titan is that he has no objectivity when it comes to Penn State. Most Pitt fans or rival fans do not, because their hatred is so great. However, I have talked to plenty of Pitt fans who think the sanctions are ridiculous and went way overboard. Why? Because it was a criminal matter and will be resolved in court. Victim 4 has already said he does not agree with the NCAA sanctions. People are being punished who have nothing to do with it. Why does Titan want to see that? Because of the kids? Nope. It's because he despises everything about Penn State. He has despised it long before any of this scandal came about.

If given the chance that this never happened to the kids and therefore Penn State was never punished OR kids were raped and Penn State was in hot water he would pick the latter, because he is a sick person. He has proved it many times over.

Oh yay, you found a media members negative post about PSU! You win! I can't find any positive ones to share.

Christine Brennen's opinion is the best!

Christine Brennan...same reporter who was interviewed about the Freeh Report after a scathing article and said she didn't read it, then went on to make herself look like a fool because she had everything wrong in the report? I'll take Jay Bilas, an actual Lawyer, opinion over Brennans every day of the week. What does Bilas say? He says it was a criminal matter in which the parties that were arrested should have been, but the NCAA overstepped their bounds. Spot on!

By the way Moldy, Brennan called you out too "Have no Pennsylvanians learned anything over the past few months?" That statement is so ignorant it doesnt even deserve comment.

I will add my 2 cents. I will say it again. I am NOT a PSU cultists, I AM a fan of Penn State. I think everything that happened there that concerned kids is very disgusting. EVERYBODY involved should be punished. They should punished by the criminal courts NOT the NCAA because they do NOT have control over the criminal cases. They have complete control over the rules and laws that have in place concerning the recruiting and rules they have. What SMU did was a NCAA violation, what happened at PSU was NOT. I havejust a few words to Titan and everybody whose has the opinion about Joe or anybody else at PSU comcerning the cover-up. PROVE IT. When and if it is proven on court then I will listen to your rants, but as of right now what you are saying is just your opinions that is it. It has not been proven by the NCAA or the criminal courts, so have we lost our rights where people are innocent until proven guilty?? Sandusky is in jail because it WAS proven he did what he was accused of, the other people being accused have NOT had their day in court yet!! Wait until that happens.
