Re: Alabama vs. ???
In six seasons at Alabama, The Tide have 13 losses. 6 of those losses came in the first season.
From there.....
12-2 Sugar Bowl Loss
14-0 National Champs
10-3 Capital One Bowl win
12-1 National Champs
12-1 National Champs
Likely preseason #1 going into next season.

Konjo, what good are those QB's and RB's if plays are getting blown up before they even start. We must get schools like Bethel Park, Mt. Lebo, TJ, NA and others from the WPIAL + out East to pump out kids like Kugler and Johnson on a yearly basis. TJ produced some nice Linemen like Lucas Nix. Next years class has Brookster out of Mt. Lebo and Grimm out of Bethel Park. Unsure if they're national level recruits or not.
I hear what you're saying Cimson's Ghost. I could've been off base, and Johnson could've thrived. Only god knows the answer. I do agree that Saban's legacy is only growing. He has 3 NC's at Alabama and 1 at LSU. Who knows how many more he'll win before his career is over.

Grimm will be a national recruit, picked up some offers during one of the junior days at one of the high school all star games. He posted the best at the bench press.
Re: Alabama vs. ???
My favorite thing about Nick Saban is his 73% graduation rate. Very good considering the amount of talent that could leave early for the NFL from his teams each year.
Re: Alabama vs. ???
I respect Nick Saban and think he's the best coach in the college game right now, I just hope we never hear one day about recruiting violations I wanna see how long this run can go I'm rooting for Bama I hope they can be the class of college football without any sanctions down the rd. Seen it with Miami OSU seems like its becoming more common

Abpk,
I agree. What I dont respect is them oversigning and then holding open tryouts every spring and telling kids to hit the road.

Re: Alabama vs. ???
My personal position on collegiate athletics is the academic side of things. This differs from a lot of people. This is why I look at who the B1G is adding more academically than athletically. Remember the B1G was orginally a academic alliance that formed into a athletic conference. I, also, follow the B1G championship race moreso than the National Championship race because the teams are competing with other schools with simular academic guidelines as they have.
Graduation rate is the number one thing I use to rate any coach. How many student athletes that enter a program leave with an education that will help them for the next 50 years of their lives? The NCAA is a joke and if they actually cared about the academic (non $ making) side of their business they would implement graduation rate standards to compete in post season play. If a university can not graduate over 60% (a passing grade at most colleges) of their student athletes they should not be able to compete for a championship against coaches and schools that are actually bettering society.
