Yep...Schopp won 34 matches the year he red-shirted...BTW the millersville trny was pretty tough...not at all weights but most, there were a bunch of teams that didn't have anything going on that sent their guys and alot of studs red-shirting this year that were there...Andrew Alton only won 3-2 against Ian Paddock of Ohio State in finals, Dylan on the other hand, had a 8sec fall, a 16 sec fall in qtrs, and pinned PIAA champ Cody Copeland 1:32 in semis, think he may have hurt Copeland too, he ff'd out to take 6th place after Alton was done with him...BTW Jimmy Lawson also won at HWT, he beat the kid from Lehigh that beat Gingrich in the dual meet 3-1 in qtrs...Nick Ruggear (PSU) also made finals and def. to Lawson.

Very interesting. Thanks for the info. That copeland was a beast in high school and alton destroyed him. Wow! Can't wait to get them back. I hope they learned their lesson and worked hard and stay out of trouble.

Ed Ruth used to win the Millersville tournament while he was in high school. It was a pretty decent field this year, the University had to turn down a good many wrestlers because so many had already preregistered.

Yes...the guys that redshirt are allowed to wrestle in these tournaments...as long as they don't wrestle in duals or post season tournaments it will not affect their redshirt
