It will be a long shot, but nothing wrong with getting their wet with this kind of success this season. I notice their four leading scorers will be back next season, BG will be losing to D1 recruits next year, maybe that is the year Portage could win a District crown.

But hey, they are in it THIS year. Stranger things have happened.


What are you basing Penns Manor is better than Portage? Portage has a better record, and they hold wins over AAAA Latrobe, and AAA Ligonier. Not bad for the Lady Mustangs.

He had minimal knowledge of "local" high school football during the fall, other than his alma mater of Penns Manor. Obviously he has zero knowledge of girls basketball in this area....grain of salt.

Penns manor also beat ligonier this year. Also I would say woman's basketball is stronger in the heritage conference, especially this year. And to football knowledge I do remember most portage people saying they were a force to be wrecking with. One that lost to northern pretty convincingly...
