The D5 A Champion would play Lincoln Park in the First Round if Clairton wins the WPIAL.

Well Lincoln park is a single A team so it seems pretty obvious that we aren't talking about the D5AA champ

Smith I don't doubt the D9 teams could be on par or better than Carroll. Just an opinion. BC plays a tough schedule. BC did beat Vincentian.

BC with a win will play Smethport or North Clarion, which I believe have a combined total of 4/5 losses. Doesn't look like they really play too much competition though. With a loss would probably get Shanksville I would assume. Regardless, they will play a team with a great record but a team that hasn't played anywhere close to a comparable schedule.

Smethport is a good team but BC will beat North Clarion by 15+. I think they will beat Smethport too, but only by about 4.

I think BC's playing the schedule they have should allow them to compete with just about anyone in the West in Class A. However, are we just dismissing BG's chances against them though? BG played the same schedule (all but a couple games obviously) so they would seem to be battle tested as well. I know BC is the favorite (and they should be) but no matter what happens Friday I would like the chances of both teams getting at least a first round win in the PIAA playoffs. I may be biased but I think the LHAC really toughens the teams for playoff basketball.

Thanks guys. You didn't have to be so sarcastic about it. It could be 6a. "a" what?? Also another topic has d5 only. So I got it this topic is d5a. Also I don't know what lincoln park is. I don't even know where they are from to know d5a or what! Be a little nicer. Thanks, I have feelings you know! Shade will be in trouble playing any team from that district 7a. Bad draw for them this year with a nice team.

BC is on par with the silver and gold teams of JV in '95 and 96 respectively. In '95 JV ran into Scotland School who were loaded with superior talent out of the east, much like Vaux and MCS have this year out of the east. This year may not be the BC Gold year, but very possibly could be Silver. BC graduates one starter. D9 simply does not have a team that is that level this year, and it will take a huge effort to take BC out of the race to Hershey

A few problems that BC might run in to. Foul trouble has effected many games. Marcus can be very foul prone at times. They have several talented kids on the bench but none got to play many important minutes during the year. They also tend to play down to competition. I believe they were tied with Forest Hills and North Star after the first quarter. If they can avoid fouls they should do well. Also, I never dismissed BG. That's why I had both scenarios listed in my previous post. Also, they lost to Johnsonburg last year so D9 has some very solid teams.
