Berlin is better than Penns Manor in 2013. In 2012, they weren't.

I think we can all agree Penns manor is a 300% better team then when they started the year. They didn't know what they would do without ferens. Now they have their own leaders and group and identity

Fochtman did have a quiet night against Northern Cambria, 9 carries for 100 even. Yes, that is a quiet night for that young man.
Fochtman is 9th in the state in rushing (of teams that report to Maxpreps) with 1,252 yards.

Re: D6SN D5 Rankings: Week 8
well first off in a scrimmage how often does the defense know what play is coming? From every scrimmage I've ever been a part of, on defense you never knew what play was going to be run. Coaches want a realistic look. They don't say, "Hey we're gonna run 22 iso. Please line up in the A gaps and blow it up" The only thing scripted is the list of plays the offense wants to run, but they don't tell the defense. So for a look at the battle on the front line, a scrimmage is pretty accurate minus the aspect of 4th quarter fatigue. Love those who get on with brand new accounts and speak non-sense without logicspike98 wrote:A scrimmage? Seriously! 99% of the teams are scripted on both sides of the ball for a scrimmage. Especially the first scrimmage. No way Berlin can block the front 6 of PM. They only give up 55 yds a game on the ground. I would love to see them square off this year. I guess we'll never know.

To 12HankQB...I talk non-sense? Wow, thanks for calling me out! I guess your opinion is the only one that matters. I would love to talk x's and o's with you someday. And no, I don't mean hugs and kisses! Every 1st scrimmage I've ever been part of, the D was scripted too. Like the stunts and different packages. Nothing was ever on situations. I bet you're undefeated in scrimmages! Does that help you qualify for playoffs?

All I know one of those teams in a scrimmage is undefeated other is not...
Re: D6SN D5 Rankings: Week 8
Nope, never said anything of that nature, but why script a defense when you can do that in your own practice? Plus what about when they do live game situation? that's not scripted. A scrimmage is a very good judgement of what's going on. Didn't mean to call you out so bad, I was frustrated when that came out. For people to say it's just a scrimmage though, it is still strength vs strength and speed vs speedspike98 wrote:To 12HankQB...I talk non-sense? Wow, thanks for calling me out! lost a close game, just as you escaped with a questionable win last week. Let's not be doing thiskonjo78 wrote:All I know one of those teams in a scrimmage is undefeated other is not...

To see your stunts and fronts against better competition than you do in practice. Also to have your D in an undesirable situation to see they react. Besides, the 1st scrimmage is always a 10&10 format, so how would you know when to bring people and/or when to play coverage? I just personally believe PM would beat Berlin, 3 or 4 of PM's big lineman have played in over 40 games already. That's big time experience. 3 of them were blocking Southern Columbia players 2 years ago. Think about it.

most of the Berlin boys have gone against Clairton, we can do this all day. We need to call these schools, for the sake of this website, and have them play lol
