Wrestling question???

Post by Blueandwhitefan »

As a person that knows NOTHING about wrestling I am posting this for some friends.

A couple years ago Penns Manor started a youth wrestling club with help from Indiana and Marion Center. A friend of mine from Indiana has helped and is looking for youth tournaments. I believe age 5 and up. Anyone have any info I can give him?

Also last week Penns Manor (which has never had wrestling) approved a coop with Marion Center. Marion Center is expected to approve the agreement this week. Seems like a good opportunity for those interested and could help a struggling Marion Center program.

Remember when giving me info use the KISS method. I will be the first to admit I know nothing about this area.

So that would move MC up to AA? I'm not sure if that has any real effect in wrestling as it does in other sports. I don't really know much about wrestling either

On the PIAA website they are already listed as AA in wrestling, basketball, swimming, baseball and track. And on the last census they were 4 boys away from AA in football 181 (185 is AA)

I knew they were AA in track as everyone is in the heritage but I didn't realize they were that big of a 1A school. I wonder why they have had poor numbers on the football team recently. I know they didn't have as many runners as usual on the cross country team either.

There is no A or AAAA in wrestling or swimming... Just AA and AAA

pywwrestling.com is where all the youth tournaments are listed. Indiana has a pretty good program running right now, so I would think there are some coaches he could ask locally that would help him out? There are also some Elementary Dual teams out that way that are school-based, so he could start there also.
