THE HILLS ARE ALIVE. Go Titans
Re: PIAA Quarterfinal Preview Class A
I agree. I'll question the level of play, but won't see say it's grade school football. Hope you enjoyed your turkey. I'm out, heading to Heinz for the Pitt-Miami game. Hopefully i'm home in time to catch the 2nd half. Best of luck to y'all.Footballjunkie wrote:PApride wrote:I do respect the effort from them, a lot I'm just trying to say D5 won't b beating D7 for a while, they never have yet, and for the quip comment D5 is lucky they play up or they would b seeing them every year
And most schools in D5 A are pretty much grade school, like I said earlier one or two good teams isn't saying much for the conference
To say most schools in The D5 are pretty much grade school is a crap statement.

How is it? The only 2 good teams were TM and Berlin, the rest are pretty much laughableFootballjunkie wrote:PApride wrote:I do respect the effort from them, a lot I'm just trying to say D5 won't b beating D7 for a while, they never have yet, and for the quip comment D5 is lucky they play up or they would b seeing them every year

Because its just a under statement and you know it. Every school has its bad years but come on. It's not fair to state that about these D5 schools when some of them are lucky to have enough players for a team. I'm sure they work just as hard if not harder then your WPIAL schools. There has been some great athletes come out of D5.PApride wrote:How is it? Re: PIAA Quarterfinal Preview Class A
Coming from a life-long tussey mountain fan, you people from Pittsburgh and the surrounding area have a rude awakening coming. When you overlook a team like Tussey Mountain, who can make plays on offense, defense, and special teams.. you will lose the game. They are coming into this game with everything they have, and will not let up. Someone said about the Williamsburg and Mo-Valley scores...they knew they had the game and didn't want to risk the starters getting hurt. Look at their playoff statistics.. you will come to find they are for real this season and should not be taken lightly. Who cares if a D5 school has never beat a WPIAL team. History can be made
Re: PIAA Quarterfinal Preview Class A
I will give it to tussey they are an athletic group of kids. I think they need 2 things: they either need a scoreless first quarter to show they can hang with it. Or even better they need to strike first. Throw out everything and its going to come down to one thing: confidence. Tell your boys to walk into that game with swagger and knowing that they can win and watch what happens
Re: PIAA Quarterfinal Preview Class A
Football junkie, no one is bashing tussey....good rushing team, good kids, good coaching they're just not gonna win. Hoping seniors go out with a good game and no injuries.

Are you talking sports in general? Hint duh yesWPIAL~Titan wrote:When was the last time a district 5 team beat a WPIAL Team in the PIAA class A playoffs?
Hint: Never.
Yeah yeah yeah They said the same about Tyrone. Not to mention North Catholic is ranked 1 in the state I do hope Tussey plays well. Give the topic some rest and enjoy football this weekend other than complaining about D5
Why?
