Ryan Spring has seeds up on his blog. http://www.springintosports.blogspot.com/

All 22 wrestlers @ 145 have at least a .500 record.

One of the best weekends of the year.

I didn't see anyone seeded at 120, 160 or 195 for Ridge. I thought they had wrestlers at those weights? Do all wrestlers get seeded?

It could be a situation where there are multiple kids in a weight class that have wrestled and maybe they have all beaten each other. They also use seed points. So there are several ways it could be done.

Same thing at 138... 6 seed pinned 4 seed last week

106

1. Burkett
2. Link
3. Hepler
4. John
5. Madden-Edwards
6. Couteret
7. Cole
8. Brode

Link has improved a lot throughout the year, and
last week's close loss in the finals of the Richland Thomas Tournament
to Murin 1-0 demonstrates his improvement. I still go with Burkett
because he has had a great season so far and I expect it to continue
this weekend.

113

1. Gabriel
2. Howard
3. Dunlap
4. Sankey
5. Biddle
6. DeArmitt
7. Wolfe
8. Walter

Unless something drastic happens, Gabriel and Howard will square off in the finals. They
each own a win against each other, and this will be another classic. My guess is Gabriel
takes this one, but it could easily go either way. Dunlap has had an excellent season so
far so I think he can make a run for third over some really quality wrestlers.

120

1. Bordner
2. Moist
3. Swank
4. McGrath
5. Rouser
6. Jano
7. Mehle
8. O'Toole

I really hope Moist and Swank are in the semis, because that will be a fantastic match. Bordner is a
beast, and I see him taking the crown. McGrath is another solid wrestler that has potential to make
some noise at this weight. This is one of the weaker weights in terms of overall depth.

126

1. Demaske
2. Davis
3. Boozel
4. Novak
5. George
6. Opel
7. Ofsanko
8. Stevens

So disappointed to see Demaske drop and miss Easter and Carr. Davis and Boozel could give him a challenge, but I don't see him suffering his first defeat of the season now. Davis is back and seems to be healthy, and I see him making some noise. It is hard to guess what Opel will do, but he definitely has the potential to have a nice tourney.

132

1. Easter
2. Carr
3. Andrejcik
4. Hetrick
5. Hemminger
6. Shank
7. Hunter
8. McKenzie

I just can't pick against Easter here, but Carr could give him a great challege. That is assuming Carr can first get by Andrekcik, who is definitely no push over. Hetrick is a very solid wrestler that could give Easter some trouble too, but I just don't see him going down this weekend. Easter defeated Andrejcik 4-2 earlier this year at the King of the Mountain.

138

1. Thomas
2. Claar
3. Schaeffer
4. Osselburn
5. Ging
6. Schoop
7. McKenzie
8. Klinger

Thomas seems to always shine at the Thomas Tournament. This will be very tough though with obstacles like defending Thomas champs Schaeffer and top seeded Claar. My dark hourse here is Osselburn. He is highly ranked in Maryland, and even though that doesn't necessarily mean much, he has a lot of talent and could give Claar a good match in the quarters.

145

1. Naglic
2. Falleroni
3. Harner
4. Bumbarger
5. Welsh
6. Crouse
7. Fochtman
8. Beltz

Hard to believe defending Thomas champ Naglic is the fifth seed. An incredibly talented wrestler, but he will have a tough road in one of the deepest weights the Thomas Tourney has ever seen. Falleroni is a great wrestler too and could easily take the title. This bracket could end up a number of ways, as undefeated Bumbarger, highly ranked Welsh, as well as Harner and Crouse could make some noise. It will be difficult for good wrestlers to place in the top eight at this weight.

152

1. Edwards
2. Fetchet
3. Cahill
4. Slippey
5. Charlesworth
6. Snyder
7. Stay
8. Mock

Edwards is ranked number one in the state by some, so it is hard to go against him here. Fetchet
is my dark horse. He is having a great season, and I can easily see him making a run to the finals.
Cahill, though, doesn't go down easily. He will be an extremely tough out, and could definitely end
up in the finals.

160

1. Zalar
2. Walker
3. Niebauer
4. Smith
5. Fochtman
6. Brown
7. Grove
8. Green

Zalar is hard to predict. Sometimes he looks great, and other times not so much. He has had
trouble staying healthy over his career, but he seems to be good now. If healthy, I see him
in the finals. Niebauer is someone I can see winning this too. Walker is a defending Thomas
champ, so it will take some great wrestling to win this weight. Look out for Brown too, it
was hard to have him finishing sixth.

170

1. Lohr
2. Bowlen
3. Pecora
4. Hummel
5. Kolinchak
6. Pattock
7. Winegardner
8. Kylor

I am picking Bowlen with the upset here. He is only a sophomore, but
he is really talented. I am going with Lohr for the title here despite
losing twice to Pecora. Kolinchak is one of the more undervalued wrestlers
in the tournament in my opinion. I am interested to see how he does.

182

1. Berkley
2. Buttry
3. Culberson
4. Steinhiber
5. Connor
6. Link
7. Pearce
8. Williams

Berkley and Buttry seem to be head and shoulders above the rest. This
is a weak weight for sure. There will be some good matches from third
through sixth, and it could go many different ways. I see Culberson coming
doing well and taking third, though.

195

1. Beckwith
2. Kyle
3. Hummel
4. Eller
5. Cahill
6. White
7. McDowell
8. Scherer

I think Beckwith is the most talented wrestler in this weight class,
but there is going to be some great competition. Kyle and Hummel are
going to provide great competition. It will also be interested to see
how Cahill does. He has been very impressive for a freshman this
season, and could pull and upset or two in this weight class.

220

1. Maines
2. Wilkinson
3. Stapleton
4. Lind
5. Smith
6. Davis
7. Trulick
8. Yorty

One of the weakest weights in the tournament, Maines is head and
shoulders above the rest. I see him staying undefeated and running
away with this one. Wilkinson, Stapleton, and Lind are also very
quality wrestlers. It will be interesting to see how they all fall
into place behind Maines.

285

1. Beattie
2. Selepack
3. Gill
4. Smith
5. Reed
6. Gadinski
7. Wolfe
8. Shoemaker

It is a shame Buttry won't be able to be apart of this,
but its more important to be healthy for the postseason.
I see Beattie taking this one, and would have Gill in the
finals, but he would have to go through Beattie. Look out
for Reed, he is up and coming and could make some noise in
this bracket. This is one of the deepest heavyweight brackets
in recent memory at Thomas for me.

Well, there are my predictions. Who else has some? Its fun to just take your
best shot. Can't wait to get the action started!
