Per an article on Pennlive, " several elected official strongly suggested they saw no reason for a legislative remedy". Sounds like the legislators on the oversight committee are willing to let the PIAA and charters hash it out. I don't see any changes forthcoming.

I personally enjoyed this statement from Lincoln Park's AD.
"Our athletics program is 100 percent independent from the school,” Bariski said.

Apparently the athletics program at Lincoln Park consists of one boys basketball team.

They also offer volleyball and golf: http://www.lppacs.org/about/athletics.php. Not much of a selection considering their size (AA in the next cycle). When it comes to recruiting practices and inequality with PIAA the most we can do is come onto this board and complain. I think Dr. Lombardi gave people a platform to legitimately complain. Why should taxpayers have to fund two athletic programs for one district? This is something that people can address with the local representatives. It really is a tax issue
