predictions for Bishop Guilfoyle High School in 2014
what is everyone's predictions for BG in 2014.. I think they'll be a top team in D6 A
Re: predictions for Bishop Guilfoyle High School in 2014
In my opinion, BG would be my preseason favorite to win D6. Should have won last year and let it slip away. Portage will be there too, but Portage wont beat BG (its in there Heads).

I think they are good enough to get back to the championship game again. I would say them Bellwood and Portage would be the favorites going into the season.

will they be as good as last year?
Re: predictions for Bishop Guilfoyle High School in 2014
I think they will be better than last year. Chadburn is a stud at QB. Their whole team last year were juniors with the exception of Little. No doubt in my mind they are the clear cut favorites. I think they will cruise through LHAC.
Not sure what Bellwood has back from last year. I know they lost Gray.
Portage has alot back also.

Bellwood's always a top teir team in D6 regardless of turnover. I would say it is 4 teams in the hunt for the class A title:
-Bellwood-Antis
-Bishop Guilfoyle
-Portage
-Homer Center

This coming season is the year that BG has been looking forward to with next year's group of seniors. They only lost 3 players (Little, Luciano, & Taddei) who were starters and have almost all of their key players returning. They seem to have what every team is looking for (i.e. size, experience, & speed) and should be, in my opinion, the clear favorite in District 6 Single A. I've been told that Chadbourn is getting serious lower D-1 looks and McCloskey is also being offered by D1-AA schools and there may be some other players who play at the D-2 level as well. This is a talented group of which a lot should be expected.
I don't know if they will roll through the LHAC as someone had suggested earlier. That is a rough conference with many teams returning well established QBs and many other talented players. When you have to play Johnstown (Updyke), FH (Donough-sorry I know I spelled it wrong), Somerset (Barnes), BM (even though they were down last year), and CC (Seymour) I don't know if anyone should be thinking (at least in the pre-season) that they will dominate the conference. They will however, be a very tough team to beat and barring injuries to key players, which could derail any team at any given time, they should be a favorite in the District 6 Single A playoffs.

I was told BG has about every skill guy coming back and also a good part of the line. I saw Chadbourn play FH last year and he is a stud. Their team was so athletic I don't see how they could be okay with anything other than a championship. To go along with that, I'm pretty sure the Jayvees had an undefeated season

I'm hearing that BG should be the cream of the crop in Blair County this season. Central has lost a great
senior class, Tyrone will be rolling in with a new coach, new QB and some new RB's. May take a game
or two with them. I understand Bellwood will be possibly around the 5-5 mark this year. I'm being
told they have their QB back however loss the rest of their backfield and 3-4 starters on the line.
Word out of Bellwood is the upcoming junior high team was loaded.
The group at BG have some good athletes who thas taken the football pretty far last year and they
can play basketball also. Just a good bunch like Central had this past season.

Well you have to remember unlike Bellwood BG moves all 9th graders up to the varsity team. Their 9th grade is pretty good as well
