This timeline may not be exact. Correct me if wrong because I am doing this off of memory. Here is how I remember it playing out. I was a student at Penn State at some of this time (2007-2011), so I have a fairly decent memory of the events.
-2008ish a Central Mountain Wrestling coach informs AG Corbett of a potential child abuse incident in the wrestling room between Sandusky and a teenaged boy.
-2009 the local police force in State College got a tip from McQueary of the 2001 Lasch building shower incident. Records show of this tip getting to Corbett's desk.
-2010 investigation hits a "halt" during Corbett's run for governor. During this time, he accepts a campaign donation of over $200,000 from Sandusky's charity, The Second Mile.
-2011 he is elected governor of PA. Less than 48 hours later he assigns 15 of the approximately 16 attorney general investigators to the Sandusky case.
-Spring/Early Summer 2011 he releases a proposed state budget cutting state funding to Penn State by over 50%.
-Fall 2011 Penn State administrators (including Spanier) attend State hearings opposing the budget cuts.
-A few weeks later charges are formally filed agains Sandusky and Penn State admins.
