Guru's Week 8 LHAC Picks

Post by Guru »

Somerset could win this game 80-0. If they score 70 does that mean that the running clock will run twice as fast? I'm going to have to check the PIAA rule book out for that one. Look for the kilts to put up a good fight in the pregame because their band is UNREAL!!!! Seriously!!! If there was a band playoffs they might be in the state quarterfinals.

Kilts-2

The University of Bishop Carroll Catholic School Huskie Foreign Exchange School travels south to play the Bedford Bison. Personally I wish neither team would lose because I am a huge fan of both of these GREAT head coaches. Since this isn't soccer or the NFL we won't see a tie tonight. This one will be over at the half so maybe plan to stop by the Old Bedford Village or hit the antique stores.

The Central Cambria Red Devils and the Richland Baileys face off at Cambria County Community College/Penn Highlands University Stadium on Nathan Gironda Field. BOTH teams need a win to keep their playoff dreams alive so look for a snot-knocking good game. Playoffs, we talking Playoffs??? Yes we are. For CC where there is a Will there is a Win but he needs some help from his teammates this evening as The Richland Baileys have speed to burn and they are, of course, the greatest show on turf with Brandon "Cue-Card" Bailey sending in plays faster than I'm gaining weight. Look for #1 and #23 to keep the Rams in it on defense however the 6'4" 267lb "Will the Thrill" Seymour will pound out the tough yards on 27+ carries tonight and the Devils take this one in a barn burner; in which CC PK Colby Crimmins will be carried off of the field after the game winning 34 yard FG with :17 seconds left to play in the game. Someone may need a Snickers Bar after this one...

The Forest Hills Dons are up and down. The Trojans are more down than up and with this one being played on the speed turf at Jtown look for the Rangers to have to grind out a big road win and to solidify their playoff ticket with a win over the AAA Trojans. Keep the ball from Jtown's offense and you win... AND don't punt or kick to their return guys or you will have a long evening.
Dons- 23
Johnstown -22

The Penn Cambria Panthers travel to good ole Westmont Hilltop on Saturday and look for the Panthers to be riding high after their last second win at CC last Friday. The Westmont kids cant wait until hoops and wrestling start so they can put yet another horrible season behind them. Look for "Mardula the Great" to put on another magic show in the inclement weather and for this one to be over by the half.

The University Bishops face off in John P. Murtha Pointless $tadium Saturday evening and although this should be a UBG blowout I hear the Pope called in and asked the Marauders to take it easy on McCort. However, UBG needs to get ready for the playoff run of the century so look for UBG to be asking for forgiveness at Sunday's mass after they destroy UBM.

[-( C'mon, GURU. Get your "stuff" together. The FH vs J'town contest is @ Trojan Stadium. Or do you just want to smoke some of that 8" tall fescue? You'll be all alone there, no one will see you. Go ahead. =))
It ain't over until it's over.
