LHAC Basketball
Re: LHAC Basketball
Unless FH has some really good ball handlers that can atttack the Jtown press i think that they are going to be in for a long night. Jtown is very athletic and score quickly off turnovers. Somerset @ BC should be the game of the night in the LHAC. Somerset has 2 very good guards that are definitely athletic enough to play at BC's pace. Question for the Eagles is will they get any help from anyone else? BC played a very lethargic game on friday against a sub par richland team and will need to play with much more fire against somerset to get a win.

Forest Hills will have a tough time against Johnstown, but in the past they have played the Trojans tough at home. Something about playing on small floors gives Johnstown troubles.
Somerset will really be put to the test against Bishop Carroll. They better have their running legs, big difference in football and basketball.

I agree i think conditioning will be a huge factor in that game. BC needs to be more efficient on the offensive end while in the half court. Looking at their scores it would seem that their offense is clicking but most of their points are coming off easy buckets. With that being said that is what they do and what they want to do but if they get into a slower paced game like the first half of Richland they need to be more efficient.
Re: LHAC Basketball
Hook and Wehner are decent ball handlers. Donoughe would be a help, if he were healthy. But, on top of the shoulder injury, he took a solid knee to the thigh vs BM, immediately removing himself from the game in the 2nd Qrtr. He tried to play in 2nd half, but a couple minutes of hobbling up/down the court, unable to run/jump, he left the game for good. I don't know if he's even playing tonight. Could be some tough sledding for the Rangers.Bullet199 wrote:Unless FH has some really good ball handlers that can atttack the Jtown press i think that they are going to be in for a long night. Jtown 96-56....wow...that was painful. If MaxPreps shows FH w/ less than 35 TO's, then the statistition was being kind,...or they just quit counting...
Re: LHAC Basketball
Yeah, that was butt-ugly, and as expected. The over/ under on how many more games the Rangers win this season is , hmm......3.
It ain't over until it's over.
Re: LHAC Basketball
FH school policy is, for a team to compete in the playoffs, they need to finish the Regular Season at no lower than a .500 record. When the FH Boys started 3-0, there were some fans that were giddy w/ excitement, and visions of Playoffs danced in their heads. Not wanting to throw cold water on them, and hopeful myself, I just smiled politely. But, I wanted to ask, "Did you just watch the same games I just watched?"Manfred wrote:Yeah, that was butt-ugly, and as expected. 11-11 is what it will take for the FH Boys to be eligible for the Playoffs, per school policy. That means 8 more wins. I've looked hard at the remaining 17 games. I gotta say, it'll be a challenge to log 8 more W's. Not impossible, but they gotta take better care of the ball, if they want to have a go at it.
I hope they do.
