So again, as with this year, PSU only plays 4 games at opponents actual home fields. WOW!! But the real question is, do PSU fans really want to pay good money for that schedule? And according to Jeff Sagarin, Pitt's 2014 strength of schedule was ranked 63rd in the nation. PSU's was 62nd (with the BC game already in hand). So why would kirk say that Pitt's schedule was easy?

I don't think anyone has tried to say Penn States schedule is great and it won't be through at least 2018 seeing as there already scheduled and they don't look good. Maybe by 2019 they'll decide to play an OOC power five team that will be considered a decent win.

Penn state averaged 103k for their games this year. The avg ticket price is probably about 60$ a ticket. That is 6.1 million a game. 42.7 million a year. They will avg over 100k again in 2015

If they were only getting 30k a game and charging only 14$ a ticket just to get the 30k, I'd be more concerned.

Teams not playing an OOC game vs a power 5 school this season...

NC State - Doesn't have one scheduled through 2019.
Texas A&M - Haven't played one since 2011.
Ole Miss
Miss State
Vanderbilt
Colorado - Haven't played one since 2011.
Arizona
Oregon St.
Baylor - Haven't played one since 2009!!!
Wake Forest
Penn St.

Just saw this and thought it was interesting considering the discussion. Starting in 2016 the SEC will require all members to play 1 OOC game vs a Power 5 school. I'm sure they will all keep their annual FCS matchups though.
You play to win the game!!!

They will average over 100,000 per game next year? We'll see, with only ONE attractive game against Michigan, and they may not even sell that one out. And hey, is PSU getting any bowl money this year from the Big Ten conference?

Penn State had 72,000 people show up for a scrimmage... Thats more than most teams get for big games. There are things about Penn State football I'm concerned about, attendance is not one of them.

Kirk brought up the attendance issue about 5 posts ago. It was a jab at Pitt. What I said was in response to HIS post about attendance. PLEASE know what you are accusing people of BEFORE you post anything. It makes you look bad.
