Someone recently told me that Hemingway's was considering offering 2 dozen wings for $11.79. I was confused at first but then realized that was the last time Pitt Football was relevant on national college football stage. 1/1/79. Makes sense now...

Yo, clown shoes Titan. Several victims are on record as saying they do not hold PSU responsible or they disagreed with the sanctions. Several of the victims are current PSU season ticket holders.

I do a lot of travel for business in the U.S. and the majority of the people I have come across disagree with the sanctions and their views on Paterno are changing. I attended games at WVU, VT, MD, Temple, and UNC this past season and proudly wore a PSU hat. Rarely did I hear someone speak negative about it. A few students from WVU made some comments but other than that, the discussions I had with people were positive.

Fact is, the narrative is starting to change. While I'm sure you'll still sit back and piss and moan, others are starting to feel and think otherwise.

No, it's not.

Joe knew. Joe said he should have done more. Joe did all he was legally supposed to do. Joe should have done more. I think the reason Joe stuck around as long as he did was so he would be there to take the fall that he knew was coming. The wins should stand. The statue should never again stand.

Penn State was merely the setting of a crime committed by a former employee. He was not a current employee assaulting Penn State students. With all the focus on Penn State I wonder what has never been brought up or investigated. Are there other child rapists out there who were possibly victimizing Second Mile clients or was Jerry Sandusky the only one?

It sure is, the only people who think it is not changing are the people watching and listening to Olberman, Doyel, and Bernstein, the ones who always disliked PSU and Joe, and those who are too lazy to do a little research on the issue. The amount of info out there that is not reported by the mainstream media is astounding, but most people are lazy and prefer to be spoon fed information. Holy crap, ESPN said this, it has to be true. =))

Joe himself (Himself?) said he (He?) should have done more. He should have done more. End of story.

No.

Coach Paterno said, "With the benefit of hindsight, I wish I had done more."

There is a difference. With the benefit of hindsight, we all have situations where we wish we had done something different.

Joe should have went straight to the police with the evidence he was presented.

The fact people can't comprehend "With the benefit of hindsight" shows how intellectually challenged we are as a country. We skim read the headline and take the narrative the media sells. It is bizarre that people take that statement as a proclamation of Paterno's guilt, when in reality it is the complete opposite of that.
Right now, we know Sandusky is a pedofile. We know he is a sick individual. We know he is a horrible person. When Joe Paterno was told by Mcqueary what he saw, Jerry Sandusky was "the nicest guy in state college" and was great with kids and had a foundation established for them. So, Paterno took Mcqueary's info and passed it along to his superiors. Was it enough? No. If he knew the kind of man Sandusky really was, would it have been all that he did? Probably not that is why "In hindsight and knowing what he knows now, he wishes he had done more". Would Paterno had been a hero and only added to his legacy if he reported him? 100% yes. He would have only added to his reputation

I have said many times on this site that I am not a Paterno fan, but this was never a football thing. It was someone not realizing the magnitude of what was going on. It was being deceived. It was a mistake that will be lived with for eternity.
