Fair enough, I was wrong. They completely fooled the BG team with their extended 1-3-1. They will be tough to be with what they did to BG. I guess that's why they play the game. Reminds me of BC- Homer in 2009 when BC had nearly the same lineup and were top 5 in the state. Homer ended up upsetting them in the finals at IUP. It's going to be hard for BC to compete with that length especially if BG struggled. Although BC does has better shooters but lack in the physical measure.

I heard a guy when I was leaving the homer/bg game say "you can't beat a basketball team with a football team!!" Now I'm not to familiar w bg, and with what bball players played football, but it was clear tha bg was outmatched at every spot and was outplayed as well. Homers length really had them flustered. From the opening tip. And #11 for blairsville is Rena enterline. And she is often the best player on the floor. And is only a soph!! So more to come from her.

I agree Homer was the better team tonight and their length in their zone (and throwing over BGs traps when they fell behind in the second half) was the difference in the game. This to me is Homer's year, especially after the disappointment of last year. Rather than take enjoyment out of the defeat of a particular school (and by extension their young players) for obvious reasons, I prefer to give credit where it is due. Homer is going to be a problem for any team this year and should be congratulated for all their accomplishments. Btw, BG's first 8 or 9 players depending on the game are all underclassmen and you'd think that similar to HC last year, they'll grow from this experience. Much to the dismay of some on here.

One last thing the Enterline girl is fun to watch and I was rooting for the other team tonight. She is going to be, and already is, very good. You couldn't be anything but impressed with her tonight. It looks like Blairsville is in for another good stretch of success.
