Bomb!
Bomb!
I made it to yesterday's Bucs/Brewers game. For 3 innings, Nicasio was perfect. Then came the bottom of the 3rd, in which the Bucs hung a nice crooked 5 on the scoreboard. It seemed to take 25-30 minutes. Nicasio wasn't the same after the wait. He pitched "okay" his remaining time on the hill, but wasn't nearly in command of his pitches, like the 1st 3 innings.
I was in Section 329 (3rd base line, up high, almost out to the foul pole), so I got a good Side View of Cutches' Homer to center. A shot, for sure, 424', I believe.
But, I gotta say, Rodriquez' Homer,....was a Bomb. A high, towering 442' shot that was reminiscent of the Willie Stargell bombs. And, on 1979 throwback uniforms day, it was fitting that something that occurred in the game, reminded some of us of "Pops", and that special 1979 team. For a second,...I was 15 again. THIS team is a Lotta fun to watch, too.

Re: Bomb!
Whereas Pops hit those kind of shots with some regularity, you may never see SR hit another like that. I was glad to see him hit it, from the comfort of my recliner, so don't get me wrong. Lets just be realistic.
It ain't over until it's over.
