No they don't.

Andrew Irvin is a 6'2" 215 pound senior that rushed for 238 yards and 4 touchdowns last season will likely elevate into a primary ball carrier role. He recently committed to FCS Harvard to play football for the Crimson. Nice player in his own right.

Trybus threw for 1300 and rushed for 400 at QB is returning, and D1 prospect Luke Frederick returns at WR/TE.

That's a pretty talented "big three" for a class A team.

I've been saying this for a while now.  Football and Basketball have become year long sports in HS now.  This is a reason baseball participation numbers are down across our region.  And you can deny it (not you lgb87cape, just in general) until you're blue in the face, and I'll tell you you're wrong; but the HC of these football and basketball programs (assuming they also aren't the head baseball coach) will tell a kid to not play a spring sport to "focus on ____".  Sometimes they drop subtle hints such as, "I don't know, we are really counting on you next ____ season."  Sometimes they're not so subtle, "If you play baseball, you won't be working on you game / training, and you will be passed up." And my personal favorite is when they bash the program, "Don't play baseball!  They (haven't been good / won a district title / they always lose / have a horrible coach etc)"  Like I said, you can deny it, but I have personally heard it straight from the horse's (and in this coach's case, the horse's ****) mouth.

well then that is the only time I have ever heard that from our area.  I can't think of a coach who actually says that to kids about spring sports.....now it has been said by basketball and baseball coaches in regards to football.  "you can play fall baseball" or we will be doing "conditioning" workouts in the fall, or "you don't want to get hurt"....  I haven't heard people tell someone not to play baseball in the spring or summer.

I don't know what world you live in, but I've been to several combines, 7v7 tourneys and district meetings. Every coach I've talked to has been pushing the multi sport agenda. It's all over twitter and FB. What happened to Chadbourn happened WELL after baseball and other sports ended. As a matter of fact, I can name 40 teams that didn't even consider having 7v7 teams because they couldn't due to the fact that their kids WERE playing other sports. And those kids that participate in All-Star 7v7? I will tell you this straight up I talked to 4 coaches that have kids playing in them and they HATE it.  It isn't football coaches pressuring kids into the off season football, it's those so-called self proclaimed coaches that organize those deals that do so.
Chadbourn's injury had nothing to do with anything either of you said, which yes I will disagree with you and I'm calling BS. If you're so adamant, name that coach. It's an anonymous board...put it out there.

I also heard that he got hurt while doing 11 on 11 drills. Isn't that a no no this time of year?

Not for teams that aren't subject to public school rules.

i don't see why schools would honor any offer to him.  He's damaged goods.  That happens.  No school owes him anything.

Thankfully for him, the schools that have offered him have more integrity and experience in these situations than is exhibited in your post and kept their offers to him in place. Athletes get injured all the time and the number of players who've overcome ACL injuries is literally to many to mention. I'm sure he will work extremely hard to rehab his injury. He has over 20 offers for a reason and the people who get paid to make those judgments believe he will as well. Good luck to Mr. Chadbourn and hopefully he is the last athlete in the area to lose a season to injury.

Its easy for schools to say they keep their offers right now. But when the season hits and signing day gets closer they will fall.

New players will rise, importance of each scholarship increases and sadly his stock falls.

But there is no offseason for kids or pros now adays. We wonder why we see so many injuries in all levels of football and basketball

You'll get no argument from me regarding the overuse of kids in the off-season. I think it's flat out ridiculous. He can commit to the schools that have told him will hold his offer anytime he likes. Teams do not like to rescind scholarship offers once they are made due to injury. It's a bad look for the school and other teams will use it against them in recruiting. I think it's pretty safe to say that Mr. Chadbourn will not be paying for his college education which is the best piece of news in this entire story.
