Re: Central Cambria Football
kmr:223113, CC had only one year with a 500 record the last 5 years. So I don't know where you get a few very good seasons. The year Seymour (1000yds rush&pass)and Davis (1500yds rec) played finished with a 4-6 record. Last year 3-7 this year 1-9
They were 6-5 in 2013, 5-5 in 2014 his senior year. Then 3-7 last year. Even in 2014 the line was shaky, Seymour extended a lot of broken plays but it hurt us on defense against bigger teams.

So different coaches would get all the good kids out of the band and back onto the football team and then every team in the LHAC will go 8-2. Got it.
Re: Central Cambria Football
The problem with Corrente is that he is to stuck in his ways. The 2014 team lost 2 games because of his terrible play calls but since then they just haven't had the horses

Re: Central Cambria Football
Same problem he had at portage then. Not changing the schemes up at all
Re: Central Cambria Football
First, CC will not, nor are they even considering leaving the LHAC. That is absurd. Second, you are talking about replacing a coach with 30+ years of experience, again absurd. Someone asked about Bussard's availability... He is retired. CC has (40) kids on the roster and (3) weren't dressed on Friday one of which is a 2-way starter. Finally, CC's kids are working hard every day, as is the ENTIRE staff and for anyone to question their efforts, that is just sad. I welcome you to get your clearances and apply as a volunteer so that CC can benefit from your Monday Morning QB Mentality. I'm sure it would do wonders. Please focus your negativity elsewhere because this isn't benefiting the coaches or kids. Thanks in advance and have a great week!

Love that mentality, does not matter what he has done lately, just that he has hung around for 30 years. The culture of football and of kids has changed alot in 30 years. I see that he is running the spread now.Guru wrote: Second, you are talking about replacing a coach with 30+ years of experience, again absurd.
I don't remember any attacks on him or the kids in the thread, just discussion about maybe it is time for change
When is the last time CC was relevant in District 6 or in the LHAC?
Re: Central Cambria Football
When was the last time you were relevant? It's small time high school football.
Re: Central Cambria Football
Hard to call for his job when they haven't had the players the last two years as someone that knows the program they do put the work in. When corrente came into the program he came into a team with a decent amount of talent that wasn't put in the right place the prior couple years. He came in and changed the culture and the older players responded to it but the younger players didn't like his tough style of coaching so a lot of them did not come out and it is showing now. I'm sure that CC will get another wave of good athletes and they will win games that's how high school football works. We seem to forget that only 4 or 5 years ago BG was the laughing stock of the LHAC and now they are considered one of the best teams in the state

Re: Central Cambria Football
Youngbuck, to answer your question, Central Cambria lost the AA title game in D6 in 2007 and 2008. So honestly they are less than ten years away from being the second best team in the district.
