Central and Beaver Falls was a great game. Beaver Falls did enough to shut down some of the Hoenstine machine and force Karstetter to throw more

I stated that SCA had IT but I just thought LV seniors would pull it off.  Side note. The Garcia boy should be a 10th grader. I know for a fact he "redshirted" a year when he attended Shamokin.  He lived in Shamokin school district till 2012 I think. He was held back a year as that is common at SHamokin- Mount Carmel and I also think Southern Columbia.  A lot of kids parents will have them repeat their 6th 7th or sometimes 8th grade year. So he is not 14 as he is I am thinking 16 yr old 9th grader.  he is not 14 or so.

If you repeat 7th or 8th grade your last year of eligibility is 11th grade.

From PIAA Constitution and by laws:

Article VIII Period of Participation

Section 1 Period of Participation

A student may not represent the student’s school in interscholastic athletics if the student has:
A. Reached the end of the student’s fourth consecutive year (8th consecutive semester or the equivalent) beyond the 8th grade year, without regard to the student’s period of attendance;
B. Participated in six seasons beyond the sixth grade or four seasons beyond the eighth grade in any sport; or
C. Completed the work of grades nine, ten, eleven and twelve, inclusive.

See part B

Garcia is still 15, so that is not true. We have wrestled with them for years, and I know he is still 15. The younger brother, however, is old for his grade....so maybe you are thinking of him?

I was more or less just bringing up that he was red shirted and it is common in that part of the state. I think most have them repeat 6th grade year.  The kid is a stud and look for him to make a run at 4 trips to Hershey in wrestling for gold medals. His younger brother is also a fantastic athlete.

Is junior high football and varsity football considered the same "sport"?
