Basketball Scores 12/11 - 12/16
Re: Basketball Scores 12/11 - 12/16
I thought the younger sister did most of the scoring last year for Bedford?Lionjacket wrote:When you lose your best player, which both teams did, it shows who’s role players took the challenge of stepping up and filling that spot...which we clearly see was Forest Hill’s.Manfred wrote:Expected more from Bedford ladies last night, but the Lady Rangers' performance stepped up in this rematch of D6 finalists last year, and they won 65-36. For the JV, it was 34-0 before Bedford scored. This Ranger JV team will be a state champion calibre team in another 3, maybe even 2 years.

The Bedford girls program most likely hit their high point last year. For the last 3 years their Jr. High program hasn't produced results and it is starting to show at the varsity level. Forest Hills has been a Junior high juggernaut the last two years which also shows with their freshmen and sophomores at the JV level.

Does 100.9 FM cover the Bedford boys' games? Specifically tonight vs. FH in Bedford.

Campbell is the 19th ranked sophomore in the country by ESPN, she has offers from Maryland and South Carolina among others. She'll be able to have her pick of schools in 2 years. She's an excellent basketball player.

You haven't seen or read enough then. When there is a big point spread, the younger ones get a little PT. When the returning starting four are missing their 'drive cog', Coach is trying different things to make up for it. There are 4 Sr's. on the team, Swanson, Valko, Walls and Cassie Smith. The last 2 are the only starting Sr.'s. One of the frosh has the same last name as the Coach, she's scored a few points in the 3 games so far, and looks OK for a frosh, as do the others getting PT. At this point, the frosh all look pretty equal, and they ARE going to be real good.
It ain't over until it's over.
