You play to win the game!!!
Re: Playoff Rankings - Week 9
I think the key in 6A is avoiding BG. BG should get the three seed. The one or two seed may get BM in round two.

Keep it simple no team from D6 or 5 will win a state championship this year
Re: Playoff Rankings - Week 9
So should the district playoffs be canceled?

Thoughts on NC vs Portage? Should be a good one!

Yes, both are down. This would've been Gouse's year to make a run if he had his '14 team. I don't think this team has it. There isn't a team that jumps out in the conferences that I could see doing much in A, other than BG just because of size and from the bigger conference. I think Shade could score with the best of them, but they'll run into a team they cannot stop. I think it will make for a lot of good games though because I think a lot are very evenly matched. I know the WestPAC and Heritage had a lot of unexpected wins every week. It's been a fun year.lgb87cape wrote:Keep it simple no team from D6 or 5 will win a state championship this year

Re: Playoff Rankings - Week 9
This would be a year to win it in Class A, but locally Class A seems down. Jeannette, Farrell, and Clairton are all the favorites so maybe a D6 teams can make it there.
In AA, all things point to Southern Columbia winning it all. Richland/Ligonier winner would be big underdogs in that.
I’m not sure if there’s a local AAA team good enough to make it happen. Same thing the whole way to the top. Maybe State College?
I think lgb87cape said no boys team would make it to Hershey last year or Richland will get nowhere near the state championship game and sure enough the were the state runner-up. So perhaps this is the kind of voodoo the area needs to win a state title.

This is a little off topic but if anyone is looking for something to do this afternoon the junior varsity teams from Portage and Juniata Valley are playing each other at 4:15 at Portage. From what I’ve been told they are two of the top junior varsity teams around and neither one has lost a game this year… Great group of 9th and 10th graders from both schools… Should be a fun one to watch if you’re around this afternoon
