Re: Holy Hoopers
Should the portage girls have been able to play up at 5a instead of at 2a? Wasn’t that unfair for Hollidaysburg? Why should such a small school have to play such a large school in district playoffs.

CCDevil2012 wrote: ↑February 28th, 2020, 10:43 amThis is why people complain, perfect example. Acting like there is no advantage at all. Yet you’re the ones who are the first to complain when teams send out Girl’s in wrestling because, “that’s not fair”. Enjoy your playoff runD6sportsfan8819 wrote: ↑February 28th, 2020, 10:24 am So the fact that portage made it a close game and ended up losing is the problem. Got it. Yep, the bg girls were sure a heck of a problem when Bellwood won district and state titles the last couple of years. Now that bg won it’s a problem again. I know nobody will be happy until public and private are separate. Until that happens we’ll keep having this same pointless argument. Enjoy the rest of the playoffs, I know I will.
Thanks!

So should smaller public schools in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia be excluded as well? They get to draw from a vastly larger area than even bg, Carroll, and McCourt.

Isn’t it sad that a AA feels more confident that a AAAAA school is more close to an equal opponent than a A or AA private school?D6sportsfan8819 wrote: ↑February 28th, 2020, 10:47 am Should the portage girls have been able to play up at 5a instead of at 2a? Hence why those schools are 5A or 6A.....D6sportsfan8819 wrote: ↑February 28th, 2020, 11:11 am So should smaller public schools in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia be excluded as well? They get to draw from a vastly larger area than even bg, Carroll, and McCourt.
Re: Holy Hoopers
What about St. Francis coach Joe Haigh's daughters.
Just go back to last year with the Haigh sisters. The senior played for Bishop Carroll. The soph for Bishop Guilfoyle.
If that doesn't smell like a rat, nothing does.

Re: Holy Hoopers
I agree with you, but in this specific case, Portage played up specifically to avoid BA & the Campbell girl, who ironically were upset by BG!!!CCDevil2012 wrote: ↑February 28th, 2020, 11:15 amIsn’t it sad that a AA feels more confident that a AAAAA school is more close to an equal opponent than a A or AA private school?D6sportsfan8819 wrote: ↑February 28th, 2020, 10:47 am Should the portage girls have been able to play up at 5a instead of at 2a?
