Fall Sports
Re: Fall Sports
I would think fall sports would be canceled altogether.Goldeneagles12 wrote: ↑August 6th, 2020, 11:46 am If they would push high school back. You think kids would try to play say football and basketball at the same time. Cause they are probably gonna have to choose between one sport or another.

Re: Fall Sports
Almost all high school sports are state funded/ran so one could argue the govenor has more responsibilities in keeping those safe. A protest should probably not he happening in mass numbers but as was seen with Trumps move in portland, combating them only gives the protesters base more firepower/support to rebel.

Re: Fall Sports
Just seen they released a statement. The recommendation is strongly worded but it is not a mandate to cancel sports. So basically this is still in the PIAAs hands. They keep going back and forth to see who will flinch that way the other one isn't the bad guy who canceled the sports. If there is school there should be sports these kids need it and deserve it if they are willing to play.

No. The majority of public school’s budget comes from local taxes, of which I pay a lot here in Cambria County. Guess all this talk of cancellations means I will get a refund.konjo78 wrote: ↑August 6th, 2020, 1:34 pmAlmost all high school sports are state funded/ran so one could argue the govenor has more responsibilities in keeping those safe.
