The PIAA seemingly overrules the WPIAL out of spite. Just my read. The two organizations don't see eye to eye.

As a very recent graduat from McCort, and a member of the football team all four years I was there I can honestly say that one of the major reasons for the recent decline in the football program is the new head coach, staff, and overall way the team is run. That, and my class being the last class that got to see that 2009 team and work with them in the weightroom, I don't think the younger classes truly understand what the tradition is about and how much it means to carry on a winning tradition.
