Heritage teams sing the same tune except when they win. "Oh woe is us, poor little Heritage teams are no match for big Laurel Highlands teams!" But then if they win they're the best thing going.

Mark Bertig and Todd Marino from Renda Broadcasting have been beating that dead horse hard for years. Bertig was particularly egregious on the Homer-Center broadcast against BG. He loves to playing up the victim mentality to Catholic schools. It's the same thing every year without fail. Tiresome.

MCs coach accused McCort of having kids from 13 school districts, 3 states, and 2 countries... That's funny.

Coach Rising was quoted in the Indiana Gazette saying, "It’s just unfortunate our senior quarterback, my son, for his last game getting punched in the face on the sideline and getting a scratched cornea," and then followed up with, "They made some plays, there’s a great football team and they should be. You have kids from 10 different school districts, three states, two countries—that’s going to be the result...We don’t have kids moving in from all over God’s creation."

I don't know about the 3 states and 2 countries, but per PIAA website their Eligibility lists confirms that players on their roster come from 13 different school districts.

Maybe the tiresome thing is the Catholic schools are the Dodgers and public schools are the Pirates. Yeah it is possible, but the deck is stacked against you.
