Mike Young

Post by sportsrus »

Congrats to Mike Young on an awesome victory over Claysburg's Jeremy Knott on Saturday night. He outwrestled Jeremy and frustrated him throughout the entire match...even had back points in the first period. The score was 7-5. I give Mike a lot of credit for this huge win after being out most of the season for an injury. Seeing him wrestle this match shows me that he has the confidence and ability to be the district champ at 152 and be right in the hunt at regionals. Good luck Mike!

I am extremely impressed. He must have been doing something to keep himself in decent shape while he was out. Knott always seems to be in excellent shape and I would expect him to wear Young out. It appears that Young must not be too rusty either. That's good to hear, unless you are a 152 pounder.

I think mike did run out of gas, that is why Knott caught up. He is feeling good but not in midseason form.

Well he is in a good weight class at districts to be poorly conditioned. Brambley isn't the type to wear someone out and D'carrion has shown that he isn't the best conditioned either.
