Wrestling for the Adults
I am interested in ascertaining the level of interest in a wrestling tournament for people over 18. I understand that procare ran something like this last year and is not interested this year due to poor attendance. As things were explained to me there were three age classes with eight or ten weights. The periods were ridiculously short but that can be changed.
Surely there are enough people who used to wrestle and miss the opportunity to compete to generate at least one tournament a year. Perhaps it could be made a summer tournament with age brackets for varsity and adults. If you have the staff, officials and mats for the kids why not add adults. It could be done and add profit to the tournament.
In any case thoughts and suggestions would be welcome.
