I'll be in attendance Wed night along with a couple other bleachercoaches who are making the trip from BedCo. These are 3 Classic games. In the opener, look for Penn Hills (They beat St. College earlier this year) to be too much for James Hairston (WPIAL top scorer) and his entourage. Akida McClain, et al are way too athletic overall for Connellsville...PH by 15.
Jeanette has the right mix to stick with Beaver Falls athletic group...In fact I smell upset here...If BF isn't hitting the outside shot, Jeanette is tough enough inside to battle them even or better on the boards. Jeanette by 2 in OT.
And in the CLASSIC...The one we've all been waiting for in the West....I'll go with Reavis and the Quips over DiMichele and Rox by 5. The Quips beat Sto-Rox in last years WPIAL final and then lost to them in the western finals when Reavis didn't play well. This series is at 1-1 and in all probability the Grand finale will see the survivor in Hershey fighting (pun intended) Trinity in a week and a half.
