u guys are a bit high on the acc for my liking. i think one of the reasons the acc is as competitive as it was this year is because it has only 9 teams. clemson was the only weak team in the conference making for a tough conference scheduele. the big east has 14 teams and about 5 of those are weak teams. the acc is most likely the best conference of all, but there is no way ever a conference will get 4 teams in the final four.

Pitt will certainly make it out of the first weekend, but they may not dominate anyone. They have a bad habit of turning it on and off. However, I'm betting they turn it on when they need to come tourney time. When they do turn it on, they're tough to handle on either end of the floor.

3 out of the 4 sports reporters on sunday morning feel that is not such a far out thing to occur this year. So obviously some people with some knowledge think that its a very good possiblilty. What other conferences have 4 teams that could make it to the final four and actually have people talking about it. Duke, Wake Forest, NC State, and as much as it pains me to say it, UNC all have incredible opportunities to make it deep into the bracket this year. Even Georgia Tech will make a strong run this year. Look out for the ACC tourney this weekend, should be a bomb shell ready to explode.

Lets say that a miracle does happen and Pitt can somehow swindle thier way into the sweet 16, how much damage will they do once they get there? None at all. If they do happen to make it there then good luck to them but i dont see it happening at all.

I think Pitt will make it to the Sweet 16 depending on who they are playing. If the Bracketology thing is correct then I think they would be in trouble against Southern Illinois. Southern Illinois is a very tough team and the MVC has a good record in the tournament the last few years upsetting much higher ranked teams.

over the past 18 yrs, 12 times has a conference had two teams in the final four. only once, when the big east put st john's, georgetown and villanova, did a conference ever have three teams in the final four. im not even sure all three of those teams were in the big east at that time.

St. John's, G'town and Villanova were all in the Big East when they made it to the final 4 in the early 80's. I can't ever see 4 teams from the same conference making it to the final 4. It's not an impossibility, but I'm not betting any money on it ever happening. Too many other good teams out there and the competition is too tough. Mid major teams will undoubtedly beat teams from the major conferences....it happens every year.

the hard part for the ACC wouldnt be getting four teams in the final four its getting Duke,UNC,Wake,GT or maybe even NC State in four different regions. Can anyone imagine what would happen if Duke and UNC would happen to play in the final or even final four of the tourney. That would be great and i personally hope it happens.

First off, the chances of them all being in different regions is slim. Also, Wake and Georgia Tech making it to the Final Four. No way. The Elite Eight is even a stretch for those two teams. I can see UNC pulling off a few upsets and maybe getting to the Final Four. Duke will definitely be in the Final Four if they play up to their capabilities.
