Friday Rain--Game Changes

Post by Head Roadie »

Word is Cam. Hts. at Central is now SAT at 7:00

Lot's of discussion about what to do is going on. One train of thought is things may be worse tomorrow with flooding occurring after the heaviest of the rain tonight and some very possible travel problems. Also, although it may not rain tomorrow night fields will be in much worse shape than they will be tonight except those with exceptional drainage.

Stay posted and if anyone knows of any other changes, post here.

The weather forecast in WPIAL Country calls for improved conditions by Sat AM. Look for a lot of games to be moved to Saturday night. You can bet that some games will still be played tonight, though.

Also, it's going to be a wet one at PSU and at Pitt tomorrow.

It might be nicer Saturday morning, BUT there will be flooding everywhere then. THEN you will see games pushed clear back til Monday which will be terrible.

My idea was to move games UP on Friday night. Sure you will play in rain, but that is football and it has been that way for years. At a 4 pm game you would have rain, but the flooding won't begin til later tonight. PLEASE get some games in tonight.

Unconfirmed report is that FH @ Bedford is moved to Saturday.
Not yet finalized report on NB-TM is a 5:00 start time.

Good luck to those who go to Sat...they may look like geniuses but flooding is going to be peaking tomorrow AM thru evening....I'm guessing those games get cancelled again and are played Monday, but I've been wrong before.
