COUNTY CUP

Post by soccerchick184 »

Girl's County Cup Tournament is happening this week. It starts Thursday and then continues on Saturday. Comments or predictions?

Ridge plays NBC at 5:00 at Bedford on Thursday. Please feel free to come and cheer us on. :D

I think the Ridge Girls will make a turning point in their season, I expect they will beat NBC. Hopefully the win could clear some teamwork-related problems, and prove a rallying point. Best of luck to all the teams.

As kohlslaw predicted, Ridge is moving on. We beat NBC tonight with a score of 2-1. We play Everett on Saturday at NBC at 6:00.

now where did i ever say bedford was invincible? anyway, i just know that our girls have been playing better this year and it came as a shock to me that they lost at home to everett, who apparently is also doing really well this year....im just curious as to how the 2 teams with the best records had to play eachother and the 2 teams that now have a total of 3 wins between them got to play eachother. but im guessing the schedule is made up in advance so o well

They rotate the teams around....last year Ridge and Everett played each other and NBC and Bedford played each other. So then this year Ridge played NBC and Bedford and Everett played each other. So it's not like they had planned for the two better teams to play each other.

I, too, was a little surprised that Everett won, especially since it was on Bedford's home turf. With Everett's foreign exchange student, they have been doing well this year. My guess though, is that if you were to take the foreign exchange student (#17) away, Everett would be as mediocre as they were last year. If she's not scoring the goals, she's feeding it to the ones that do score.

Hey Hey Hey
#17 is Miriam, a gr8 addition to our team. but NOT the only force! MAl #7 is doing better than ever, #10 is only a freshman and has had hat trick after hatrick with most assits from Mal, or she took it up herself. Our DeFence is also OUTSTANDING this year with a new goalie! There is no reason to call us "mediocre"

Ya know different people have different strengths and Miriam happens to be good at team playing. Our team has stepped it up and we are not mediocre.

Where in there did I say Everett is mediocre this year? I agree that Everett has stepped it up. I said if you take the foreign exchange student away, then they probably would be like they were last year....mediocre. Like I said, if she isn't the one scoring, she's getting the assists by feeding it to the girls that do score.
