That is going to really hurt. I don't think most people realize how much of an asset coach Creps is to this program and Bedford athletics in general. He will be missed greatly.

It would be great to have his knowledge and skill of breaking games down on tapes, designing game plans, etc......

He will be greatly missed. Hopefully young Topper will be able to fill his shoes. He has done a great job with the Line this year.

yes new era old school to new young school of coaching!! Big difference! diffferent attitudes and intensity of coaching with Coach Swaim! Get my point. I think they will do fine without Creps as the Line coach too. They have some good young coaches and you never know who he might bring in next year??

bedrock..
"I would agree with Bison1 and Ham. He was the best I ever played under -- high school or college"

can we honestly count football at the Ship as real football?

i agree, max kept the same guys on the field play after play after play...very rarely did he change things up and it showed late in the game, they just werent prepared enough to play "ironman" football. but with Swaim, i think hes doing a good job and im seeing alot more dirty uniforms at the end of his games than i did after shoemakers.

Bedford always was a second half team under Max, ALWAYS. If Bedford was within 7 at the half, they had already won. Now, untill this year, the second half was in question. This team is good, you can't gauge success of a coach on one team, it will depend on what he does with the less fortunate teams that will come in the future and the success that he will have with them. As of right now, Swaim is on top of his game. As are the rest of the Bison's. But only time will tell if he will be as successful as the Bedford coaches of the past...

I hate to say it gunner but there your inexperience with him shows. Max knew football better than anyone i've ever met. He wasn't as loud as Wes and he didn't "think out loud" like Wes, so maybe it wasn't as noticible to the fans but the knowledge was definitely there. As Ham stated Bedford had the reputation for 2nd half football. Max kept his players in shape and used who he needed to in order to win. He didn't keep you in if you couldn't get the job done and if you weren't capable of playing ironman football...you simply didn't.
very rarely did he change things up
where did that come from? In Max's last year around week 6 we added roughly 30 plays...He wanted to have a variety. We added Jet, new traps, new screens, new reverses, 2 or 3 trick plays. The only thing that opposing teams could predict going into a game against Max was he wasn't afraid to run the ball at you, he liked running the option, and after a TD you were going to see the "Bedford 2-pt play". Many of you know what that was. In fact a friend of mine here at psu who we played against had a 2-pt play. Want to take a guess what they called it? "Bedford 2-pt play"...

Where did folks here Coach Creps is hanging it up?

Gunner---I'll give you a nod on the good jab about Shippy U.

Remember this whole coaching debate revolves around one fact that man from the cove with the plefora ov greet cawmets wood make.

You can't make chicken soup from chicken poop.

I have also never heard of it before reading on here Bedrock...

Everybody knew what was coming when Bedford lined up for the 2-point conversion, but did they ever stop it, only when Bedford stopped themselves...
