Well, LP, the reason that Democrats get away with it is that they never claim the moral high ground. The Republican party is also the "Holier than thou" party, so whenever a notable Republican has a downfall, it's always noteworthy, due to the hypocrisy being practiced by those guys. I don't believe Slick Willy ever gave a sermon on the morals of sex.

No, not about sex, but he sure does try to preach about lying when he says Bush lied to us. Who's the hypocrit there?

Don't even try to lay hyprocisy at the feet of the Republicans when the Dems have mastered that art. Let's see, Michael Moore's film is ok for everyone to see, Stolen Honor isn't. Moore and Soras are just practicing their right of free speech, but let's shut up the Swift Boat guys. Let's count all the votes that lean Democrat, but let's not count those that serve in the military. I could go on and on and on, but those trees are in your way again, so I would just be wasting my time.

When it comes to morals, the Republicans are usually the hypocrites. The Democrats lay no claim to morals. They do like to not have Republican votes counted, and like to shut up those that go against them, but the Republicans practiced the same. There is the Patriot Act, the law against speaking about candidates in advance of an election (2 months I believe), and there were several thousand voter registrations ripped up by Republicans for Democratic voters. So both parties will do whatever they feel that they can get away with for an election.

Last I checked, convicts, dead people, and pets weren't allowed to vote.

woah woah woah...hold up hold up, why are we talking about the lies of Bill Clinton...if one man lies about sex and another lies about a war, which one do we impeach? and why is that? so the comment that "if its a democrat its always ok" is horribly out of line. clinton did not kill anyone with his lies. and although I will not say he was right, he obviously did things that were morally wrong, he did not needlessly send our troops to a foreign country to get killed...the only reason we are in iraq is a personal reason between the bushs and hussein...he tried to kill my daddy... so ill get him back. absolutly terrible.

How do we know Clintons lies never killed anyone? What about Foster and McDougal? What if the time Clinton spent trying to cover up his lies would have been invested in anti-terrorism activity or peace in the ME?

Just because the Dems dont dont even attempt to be honest makes it ok for them to lie? That makes sense!

Have you forgotten Somalia? I agree that we needed to go in there. However, our armed services were not given a clear mission, they were seriously understaffed, and their task was impossible. Then, when 18 Americans were killed, Clinton got scared for his political career and pulled our troops out. What was accomplished in doing this? Terrorist were now emboldened and often referrenced Somalia as a way of beating the US. Kill a couple of soldiers, let the media take over, and wala - victory for the terrorist. Today, Somalia is still basically lawless, and will most likely be the next Afghanistan in the years to come.

Had Clinton had the courage of his convictions and stayed the course, the warlords could have been defeated and Somalia turned into a democracy.

Dawg - thanks for the reference to Foster and McDougal. I find it odd that a left handed person shoots himself in the head with his right hand.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Clinton knowingly lie under oath? I could care less what he did in his private life, but if he lied under oath, as the President of the US, he should be impeached.
