Lazy. That is ludicrous. What kind of a work ethic do you have lions07?

not cocky? having played and gaurded against him last year, he is a cocky player. he's not overly cocky like some can be, and hey when your a good player you have the right to be cocky, nothing wrong with emotion and cockiness when your out on the floor.

Its just my opinion foghorn, a lot of kids can score points. To be a better player he needs to work harder.

I know it's your opinion, GW. Everything on BC is our opinions. My point is that there's sort of an unwritten rule on BC not to belittle high school players -- or even be critically harsh in judging them. Once you start doing that, then the floodgates open. For example, that scrawny little Herncane kid for Ridge misses way too many layups -- but you won't hear me say it. Oops...

Or maybe I'm wrong. Maybe a lot of BC posters think it's perfectly fine to trash 15-18 year-old athletes. Last time I checked, though, the fellows who run this site frown upon it.

Don't you think a coach saying it 1 on 1 and saying on BC are two different things? I'm all for a coach privately blistering a player who deserves it. In our feel-good society nobody seems to want to be told they are lacking in some way -- even by someone who has every right to do so.

Oh well, I guess we just see things a little differently. All I know is that I try to be positive -- with the exception of that Herncane kid who really needs to develop a jump shot...

if herncane kid just had someone who would push him a little, he would be ok. His old man is just too soft on him.
