wow! 3 Berlin guys...they got some exposure for being a very good team and probably from having D'Carrion around for people to see and follow from a year ago.
Congrats to all!

Re: Football Class (A) All-State List
HMMM There are two kids from Mount Union on first team defense and they were 2-8 or something like that this year and there defense gave up alot of points and they get TWO KIDS on first team defense?? Nothing against those two kids but no way they should have 2 kids on first team. This system of selecting needs some refining.

Re: Football Class (A) All-State List
I tend to agree with you fan. McClain and Rogers were both tough kids but both first team all-state? The DelGrosso kid from Bellwood was the best LB I saw all year and he didn't even make it.

Why the move to four classifications of All-State?
What is the next move? Everyone gets a state championship? It isn't AYSO.

Re: Football Class (A) All-State List
I tend to agree with footballfan and southpaw.. I saw Mt. Union play a game or 2 this year.. rogers and mclain didn't impress me much at all.. sure they made tackles.. but the only reason they made that many is because the rest of there team wasn't sure if they were playing football or cheerleading.. i believe there needs to be some more thought put into the selection the all state teams.. i also think that there were some better defensive players in the state.. besides these 2..
