I agree Dawg. Unitas had the best numbers of his era (and some of those numbers still stand up like a TD pass in 47 straight games). He played in the days before the rules were changed to open up the offense. Plus, the first 6 years of his career the season was only 12 games. For the remainder of his career the schedule was only 14 games. Your numbers aren't going to be a impressive by playing 2-4 less games per year. His teams won 3 championships and he won 3 MVP's. He also made the pro bowl 10 times.
The problem is that many people only feel comfortable judging what they have seen, so ulimately the accomplishments of the old timers get overlooked.

Warren Moon has to be mentioned. He put up some prolific numbers with the Oilers.
