High School Boys:
Bedford 68 Tussey Mountain 41
BEDFORD - Bedford's Troy Harris scored 20 points to break the school's career scoring record as the Bisons cruised past Tussey Mountain.
Harris hit the basket early in fourth quarter, breaking Ryan Wilt's mark set in 1994. Harris and the rest of the starters were pulled after his milestone basket.
Shane Fox had 15 points for the Bisons (10-3).
Berlin 85 Rockwood 68
BERLIN - The Mountaineers got 26 points from Jared McCormick, 24 from Donnie Zeigler and 21 from Bobby Czekaj on their way to a WestPAC triumph over Rockwood.
Cody Sanner and Seth Foreman had 15 points each to pace the Rockets
Windber 56 North Star 43
WINDBER - Matt Wilson's 25 points led all scorers as Windber defeated North Star in WestPAC action on Monday.
The Ramblers pulled away in the fourth quarter by outscoring the Cougars 16-5 to break open a then two-point game.
Josh Ryan led North Star with 16 and John Hornick had 12.
Shade 44 Turkeyfoot Valley 37
CAIRNBROOK - Brad Shutack and Kevin Kozlick scored 12 points each and Shutack grabbed 13 rebounds in leading Shade.
Bill Hinzy scored 13 points to pace the Rams.
Con. Township 81 Ferndale 58
Andy Byer netted 27 points, Ben Watkins had 18 and Toby McIlwain contributed 14 in leading Conemaugh Township over the Jackets.
Adam Hale had 14 points and nine rebounds for the 7-7 hosts, who got 10 points each from Eric Blue and Mike Priest. Priest also had a team-high 10 rebounds.
Bishop McCort 56 Cambria Heights 45
PATTON - Three Bishop McCort players scored in double figures led by Pete O'Connor's 15 points, in a road victory over Cambria Heights.
Abdullah Wadley and Jose Cruz added 12 points each for the Crushers (10-5) while Jonathan Hugill paced the Highlanders (7-6) with 12 points and Ben Vescovi chipped in 11.
Conemaugh Valley 75 Blacklick Valley 33
NANTY GLO - Josh Lupek scored 29 points to lead Conemaugh Valley past Blacklick Valley.
Robert Gunby added 18 points for the Blue Jays. Seth Rummel's 15 points led the Vikings (5-10).
Forest Hills 71 Portage 34
SIDMAN - Forest Hills limited Portage to just two points in the first quarter and led 48-9 at halftime en route to an easy win.
Jeff Rolla led the Rangers with 22 points. Dan Myers added 13 and Rick Penatzer had 10.
The Mustangs (8-8) did not have any players score in double figures.
Johnstown 52 Punxsutawney 50
PUNXSUTAWNEY - Kurt Hoffman led all scorers, getting 14 points for the Trojans.
Teammates Steven Lee and Aireon Jefferson added 11 points while Derek Rose had seven points and 10 rebounds.
Dennis Manges and Devin Mesoraco had 13 points for the Chucks while Steven Knox added 11.
Meyersdale 57 Salisbury 47
SALISBURY - P.J. Lowrey and Jeff Miller each scored 19 points for Meyersdale in the team's first win of the year.
Aaron Beiler scored 18 points for the Elks, including shooting 10-for-10 from the free-throw line. Shane Knopsnyder added a dozen points.
High School Girls:
Bishop McCort 77 Cambria Heights 58
The Crimson Crushers took charge in the second quarter with a 31-12 advantage over Cambria Heights in a LHAC victory for Bishop McCort.
Rachael Price led the hosts with 19 points. Shannon Yingling had 17 points while Jess Mock chipped in 12.
Amber Dubyak topped the Highlanders with 14 points and Rachel Grozanic and Jess McMullen each had 11.
Richland 65 Central Cambria 60
Richland's Tara Sease scored five of her eight points in overtime as the Rams nipped visiting Central Cambria.
Mary Pavlovich (14 points) had three of Richland's five free throws in the extra frame to ice the Red Devils.
Rose Klinar had 12 points while Heather Klinar added 10 points and 18 rebounds.
Krista Sossong led Central Cambria with 13 points.
Penn Cambria 42 Bishop Carroll 34
CRESSON - Becca Yahner had 15 points and Penn Cambria outscored Bishop Carroll 19-8 in the third in a Panthers victory.
Amie Semanski had 10 points to pace the Huskies.
Chestnut Ridge 49 McConnellsburg 44
NEW PARIS - Chestnut Ridge sophomore Jess Rowzer topped the Lions with 10 points as Ridge evened its record to 7-7.
College Women:
Robert Morris visits St. Francis tonight
Senior center Beth Swink leads St. Francis against Robert Morris University tonight at 7 p.m. in DeGol Arena at the Maurice Stokes Center.
The Red Flash (7-8, 5-1 in the NEC) have won 16 straight games against the Colonials (9-5, 4-1) dating back to Feb. 19, 1997.
Swink averaged 21.5 points and 9.5 rebounds in St. Francis' two wins over Robert Morris last season.
Swink leads the team in scoring this season with a 22.3 points per game average.
Senior forward Christin Black is second on the team with a 11.7 scoring average.
