2005 Bear Duals & preseason scrimmages
We would like to extend invitations for the 2005 Bear Duals at Boyertown Area Senior High on December 3, 2005. This dual meet tournament will be run in one day and teams will be guaranteed 5 dual meets (provided there are no changes to the current PIAA regulations and we can still run a pool format). We will be running 5 mats, with matches held at the specific times listed below (times and schedule are subject to change). We will be inviting teams from other states and areas to give teams exposure to wrestlers outside their immediate area and schedule the initial match-ups accordingly. In addition, the entire event will be updated live on our website to give fans who could not make the trip an opportunity to see the results as they occur. Plus, participating teams will be given the opportunity to sell advertising space on the live tournament site as a fundraiser for their booster club and possibly a tournament program.
In addition, we will most likely run junior varsity matches on one mat all day long. However, that will be decided upon at the start of the season and the teams are set. There will also be a full concession stand on hand as well as a coaches & officials refreshment room. Should you need to stay overnight in the area, there are a number of fine hotels all located with 15 minutes of our high school.

Weigh-ins: 7:00-8:00 am
Coaches Meeting: 8:30 am

Scrimmages
We are also hosting two scrimmages in the 2005-06 season. As we have a large wrestling area with over two full mats (with plenty of space around the mats), we can accommodate 5-6 teams. We suggest arriving approximately 30 minutes before the start time in order to get dressed and warm-up so that we can begin wrestling on time. We also have some exercise equipment available for those wrestlers who are injured or unable to wrestle. If you are interested in bringing your team to either of these scrimmages, please contact Brian Burychka ([email protected]).
