District # 10 Girls basketball halfway report card ...
The girls action has been good for the preseason favorites.
A+ Sharon Girls. They entered the season with high expectations. They have exceeded those lofty heights. Sharon may be the only team in the area that seems to get better each week.
A Slippery Rock Girls. Only youth keeps these girls from being the sure thing they will be for the next two seasons.
A- Farrell Girls. This is a team with potential playoff power. For some reason they may not be as consistent as they will need to be to prevail. But still they are winning the games.
B+ Hickory Girls. In a tough league these Girls may be second or third best. but it seems that they are always close to giving away the game in the 4th Q.
B Greenville girls. I think we all thought they'd be better this season. But they still hover around the top of the league. If they can put it all together for the final stretch they could be the dark horse.
B- Kennedy girls. Their senior laden team isn't performing with the same fire or consistency of KC teams in the past. Maybe it is because they really don't have to push themselves to beat the local opposition. We will see what they really can do when they play Sharon and Farrell in the next week or so.
C+ Grove City Girls. They seem to be as good as their competition. But that could mean just good enough to win...or lose.
I can't think of anyone else above a C for this season.
I don't know anything about Lakeview. As far as I can tell, they are still a French Creek Valley Team...and not part of this county except geographically.
