Coaching Change - Pittsburgh Central Catholic Football .....
2/5/2005 -
Over the last two years, the Pittsburgh Central Catholic football program has run like a well-oiled machine. So it's no surprise school officials have decided to hand the keys over to a key member of the Vikings success.
Less than a month after Art Walker left to take over the North Allegheny football program, Central Catholic has named Terry Totten as his successor.
Totten has spent the past three seasons as Vikings defensive coordinator.
During his tenure, the Vikings are 38-5 with 2 WPIAL titles and a PIAA state championship, thanks in large part to Totten's defenses.
During the Vikings postseason run this past season, opponents only scored 36 points in 7 WPIAL and PIAA playoff games.
Prior to coming to Central Catholic, Totten was an assistant coach under Greg Gattuso at Duquesne University.
The 46-year old Totten is a 1976 graduate of Pittsburgh Central Catholic.
