Albequerque Regional

Post by AUSTIN_22:22 »

first, what a random place to hold a major sporting event. albequerque

now, this to me is the weakest bracket of all. louisville's rick pitino has been crying around about being a four seed for days now but has failed to notice that his team could easily be the favorite to win this bracket. i know a lot of people like wake forest, but i just don't believe that they can defend well enough to beat 2 or 3 good teams in a row. chris paul could carry them a long way, or they could lose to west virginia in the second round... washington is a good team. i love nate robinson. is there anyway picking a 1 seed to make the final four would be considered a sleeper pick???

pitt may not have deserved a 9 seed, but their bracket could open up for them if they make the sweet 16. i think they may lose in the first round b/c pacific has some really good, experienced players who have won a sheetload of games this season.

my two favorite teams in college hoops are in this region...Louisville and Gonzaga...unfortunately i don't think Gonzaga is going to get past Texas tech in the second round. I look for Louisville to win this region and make it to the championship.

Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.

I personally dont see Washington getting by Pacific in the second round. Wake proved they can play with anyone but i agree they probably cant put 6 good games together. If Texas Tech decides to play which i think they will, i think they come out of this region. If not I could realistically see Pacific or maybe even Louisville coming out of this end of the bracket.

wow

i predicted pitt to lose but somehow i expected them to win if that makes sense. didn't get to watch the game, but it looked like pacific was in control the entire way. pitt is gonna have to take a look at the way they run things b/c they have just taken a big step back w/ this loss. they are losing their best player too.

My manager picked Pitt to win it all in the office pool. I was chiding him on how he was wasting his money, and how Ron (the guy running it) and I would hate to see him humiliate himself. I had to call him today just to rub it in a little, lol. Don't worry, my manager's a cool guy, but he's just a little too faithful to his roots. He comes from Western Pennsylvania near Pittsburgh.

this is soo typical pitt fan. the pitt fan stereotype i have for this board is amazingly accurrate. pitt fan just needs to swallow his pride right now and not talk any trash the rest of the ncaa tournament.
