Re: Westmont Girls

There are alot of kids out there going to Catholic schools and Academys that aren't paying tuition at all, or they are paying a "slight" amount to attend the school. I went down to the A.C.I.T Tournament at Frostburg University this weekend, and I believe that the setup that they have for that, is a great setup. Baltimore has its own Catholic League, and I believe that there are enough teams to force that issue possibly. Alot of people are fed up with Catholic schools taking the championships year and year out. If you have the oppurtunity to "recruit" a decent player and sometimes many, your going to be a better team of course, and like it was said in an earlier post, Kennedy Catholic and other teams will take time this off season to reload there teams, just like they do every year. This is my opinion only.

To add more to the discussion. If you look at just the girls final rankings for the year. AA girls had 3 out of the top 5 were private or Parochial schools. A girls had 7 out of 10. What a travesty! Maybe the PIAA should look into equality of the present system to try and get a handle on this situation.

What a hollow victory for these schools. especially in single A.
