It was just Berlin and Portage. Portage isn't known to have any pole vaulters at all, or if they did, they were first year kids. Darr is a freshman and that's not too bad at all for it being his first meet ever.

Mike Young has been pole vaulting really well lately, but Bedford has an under classman John Henderson that has really stepped it up this year clearing 11' and last years best was 9'6". He just keeps on improving better watch out.

was this in a meet or practice? sounds like bedford is putting out some quality consisten vaulters, are they sending them to some camps in the off season?

No camps as far as I know.

It was in competition, yesterday against westy and CC he cleared 11'6", by the end of the year he'll be one of the best in the district

well standings and performances on the big day r 2 different things, just ask bedrock, history repeats itself...ridge has and will forever more choke on game day, cant argue facts people :lol:

Sorry to break your heart gunner, as Ridge hasnt forever choked on big game day, just lately. That will hopefully change again soon.

Getting back to the topic of polevaulting....

Anna Samole from Berlin placed 2nd this morning at the Shippensburg Invitational by clearing 8'6". The winner cleared 9'.
