Since I go to UPJ and being the wrestling fan that I am, I'll give ya a little insight... I agree- I don't think Valko would beat Reasy. Brandon was really good in high school, and has improved so much since then. Coach Pecora works those boys really hard in practice, and they are dedicated because they want to be the best. I'm sure if you read the papers, you can see it pays off in the end.
There is a lot of competition on the team for the lower weights too. Like cheerprincess said, Adam Whetstone signed, and Thad Benton told me Ryan McIntyre may join the team as well- not positive though, but I have seen him around campus 1 or 2 times. I know they have a recruit coming from Arizona too. There is also another wrestler looking at UPJ, but I don't remember where he is from.
Valko will probably practice at 125, but all freshmen are red-shirted. The only way freshmen are able to wrestle is when they go to open tournaments, but they have to wear their own uniform, not the school's.

I really think that if you are good enough to place at states in Pennsylvania you can wrestle college. There really isn't a difference between placing 1st or 3rd regarding how well you will do at the college level. College guys look forward to giving the incoming freshmen a reality check. I've seen state champs getting technical falled in the second period during eliminations in my career. I also saw a wrestler never win a match at states in high school qualify for division I nationals. It is almost impossible to predict the future for these wrestlers.
