That stadium st Shipp. holds over 7,000 fans. There are probably around 1500-2000 athletes that compete at states. That means there is probably around 5000 fans in the stands during the state meet.

oldguy isnt talking about having it broadcast the events, etc as they happen like wrestling does, just have updates at the top of the hour or such. That wouldnt take much sponsorship and on top of that, Sam Shuss is usally down there for the Gazette. Doesnt mean he would want to juggle two jobs at once but it definatlely isnt out of the rhelm of possibilities. Sometimes people who are interested just cant make it down.

Ridge had two fifth place finishes (high jump and long jump), and an 8(discus throw). I think that's 9 points. Ridge had a person vaulting as well, but they did not place. Bedford had a 6th (400 relay), a third (triple jump), and a second (300 hurdles). That's 17 points I think. I don't believe Bedford had a place in the 16 relay, 110 hurdles, or the sprints.

15pts for Bedford and and 9 for Ridge CR player. Ridge had two 5th places and an 8th.Bedford had two 3rds and a sixth. Neither finished in the top 8 in the team standings.Congrats to both teams on a super year at ship!

had bedford had had there usual guys there like marshall at 100% and derrick harris they would have gotten at least 3rd in the state! i think that the state title may have been out of reach though!
although if marshall would have had more than one jump in the triple and would have competed in the 4x400 realy plus if he would have been at full strength with derrick harris being in the relays you could have gotten a 6th in the 4x400 relay, marshall could have gotten at least 2nd prob and derrick with his best jump could have won the state title! and the 4x100 should have gotten 2nd in my opinion!
so there is like 20 more points and would have justified the other schools so def 3rd in the state and could have had a shot at second maybe 1st!

wolverine i had 1 if in that post and alot of posts on here are pointless!
but we went from bedford being able to take a chance at a state title, to them getting injured at the very last miniute and being a no factor i was just posting what "could have been" but your last post was pretty much pointless! as it has nothing to do with track just asking me how many times i can put if in a post!
and if that one if above offends you or something then well find something else to do there buddy!

you don't see me asking dumb ?'s like that!

now if i would have as many if's as i do in this post than say something but watever man!

duece there is no way that the bedford track team could have placed 1st in the state. Even "if" the bedford track team had all their members fully healed they would have not have stood a prayer. Harris only contributed in the long, 4x100, and a few other small events that wouldnt have helped them that much and marshall did basically the best he could have done in the triple with is jump of 45'5" that only placed him third. Even "if" he would have got a better jump there was no way he was beating kanuch. A better jump would have only placed him one spot higher. gaining the bedford team another whoping couple points. Once again the 4x100 would have only have gotten a few extra points if harris was healthy and would have still had no chance against Aluiquippa.
