Lincoln Memorial video
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8427281/
Here's a link to the story regarding changes to be made in the Lincoln Memorial video to make it more conservative. However, my big question is this: Why is that video showing a history of the Lincoln Memorial rather than educating the visitors about the life and times of Abraham Lincoln? I really don't care about the memorial's history as America's soapbox, that's nice, put it on the learning channel. But if there's only going to be one video being shown at that memorial, wouldn't it be much more fitting for the original purpose of the memorial to show a video about Abraham Lincoln?

Re: Lincoln Memorial video
How was that a liberal post? He's simply saying that the video at the Lincoln Memorial should be about Lincoln. It should not be a propaganda tool for either the right or the left. I think that would suit you just fine as that Lincoln was a Republican.

I am sorry I must have mixed this story up with the liberals who want to make the 911 site a shrine to everything but 911. Please forgive me

Oh geez. Goodwill, not everybody agrees with your view of the world, and honestly, I believe that a shrine should be a shrine, a memorial a memorial, and a monument a monument. And I don't believe that any of those should be allowed to have any propoganda by any political party. That is not their purpose. Their purpose is purely historical and informative in nature, not to advertise any political activism.

Re: Lincoln Memorial video
Where were some of you people when "the original" video was made and shown? Now that some want to tone down the liberalist slant, everybody is up in arms. Now all of the sudden, it's not fair that changes should be made. Look, if they show 5 scenes with a liberal slant, then they should show 5 scenes with a conservative slant. Just like equal time for political ads on TV. Even Steven. What's wrong with that?

I for one, wasn't even on bleachercoaches, and I wasn't following the news closely at that time either. Just because one doesn't hear about it or complain about it on this website doesn't mean that they are not against it.
If somebody stole a cop's car out in LA, but I haven't heard about it or complained, can I still be against the idea of stealing?
