Doug, Ryan, first it was good to put a face on the nicknames. You guys threw your ace, and he definitely pitched well enough to win. I agree some errors, and hits with seeing eyes on them, led to your loss. If it's any consolation to you, Ryan, you were safe at first, most of us on the 3rd base side that were hootin' an' hollerin', thought so. Even the Myers'. I have no kids on the team, so I can sort of be impartial. The jawing back and forth is what made it an exciting game. The small-ball offense you guys used in that 1 inning definitely had us rattled. The wet grass that prevented Liechleiter from making a play for either runner hurt us, and led to your big inning. Our outfielders were playing too deep. Some of our players, you know who they are, are very emotional, and this could hurt them later. They have to learn to control their feelings better. I know the victory meant something for either team, but in the end, it's still just a GAME. Nobody is getting rich from it, except maybe umps that make bad calls consistently. Just kidding. I don't know what the playoff format looks like, but if your guys make it, good luck. Have fun and win a game or 2.

BTW- for those interested, it was St.M. 7- L-L 5

yea I think that we are in for a play in game.... yea I understand that being too emotional bc I am in the same boat... I thought last nite's game while excitin b/c of all the extra stuff shouldnt have ever gotten that far the umps kinda lost control of that game... our errors hurt too but wen one person makes an error we don't have any1 to pick up the next play and along w/ your outfielders playin too deep ours deffinately were as well and goodluck to yinz as well

Saints beat Nanty-Glo yesterday, I heard it was 15-6 or such. St. Michael ends at 20-2. Somerset was at last check 19-2. If anyone hears what the seeds are or when the playoffs start, please post asap. I've heard Tues., or Wed., so nothing is set yet. With the remnants of Dennis the Menace coming through from Wed. on, it will be wet through the weekend.

We play richland 2morro. Not too sure where as of yet. If they cant get richlands field we will b at the friendly confines of the saints at forest hills. Not really sure where id rather play. Ive had bad bounces either field soo prob not much of a difference. But that one spot at Forest Hills at shorstop is nasty. Ive seen 2 kids playin there take on in the face. One was my own catcher when we were playin Penn cambria, and worse.. i was the one who hit it in batting practice! Sorry Cj, thats why u were the mask!

56'ers win the play-in over Lilly-Loretto, 13-1. A game effort, but way short of a complete effort. Some mental lapses, some fundamental lapses. Oh well, if you guys were having fun, it was a good season. Better luck next year!
